Agra is a city on the banks of the Yamuna River in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is 206 kilometers south of the national capital New Delhi. Agra is the fourth-most populous city in Uttar Pradesh and 24th in India. Modern Agra was founded by Sikandar Lodhi (Lodhi dynasty; Delhi Sultanate) in the 16th century. Babar (founder of the Mughal dynasty) also stayed for sometime in Agra and introduced the concept of square Persian-styled gardens here. Emperor Akbar built the Agra fort and Fatehpur Sikri near Agra .In Agra Hindus are 88.8% while Muslims are 9.3% of the population in Agra district . Hinduism,Islam and jainism are the major religions in Agra city with 80.7%, 15.4% and 1.0% of the population adhering to them; others are 2.9%. The Catholic minority is served by its own Metropolitan.Agra is primarily known for its monuments, forts, palaces and mausoleums, but, hidden behind these architectural wonders are the traditional shopping centres and bazaars. Agra is one of the most visited cities of India being the fourth largest city in Uttar Pradesh.Agra also known for dessert .Petha. Known to have originated from the kitchens of Mughal emperors, petha is one of the two prime attractions (the first being Taj Mahal) that brings thousands of people to Agra. Petha is soft and chewy with a candy-like texture………..@............etc

   मथुरा मथुरा श्री कृष्ण की जन्मभूमि है यहाँ पर भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने जन्म लिआ था. ये सूरसेन देश की राजधानी है. मथुरा को हिस्टोरिकल प्लेस भी कहा जाता है. पौराणिक साहित्य में मथुरा को अनेक नामों से संबोधित किया गया है जैसे- शूरसेन नगरी, मधुपुरी, मधुनगरी, मधुरा आदि.वाराणसी, प्रयाग, कौशाम्बी, हस्तिनापुर,कन्नौज आदि कितने ही ऐसे स्थान हैं, परन्तु यह तालिका तब तक पूर्ण नहीं हो सकती जब तक इसमें मथुरा का समावेश न किया जाय। यह आगरा से दिल्ली की ओर और दिल्ली से आगरा की ओर क्रमश: 58 किलोमीटर उत्तर-पश्चिम एवं 145 किलोमीटर दक्षिण-पश्चिम में यमुना के किनारे राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग 2 पर स्थित है।वाल्मीकि रामायण में मथुरा को मधुपुर या मधुदानव का नगर कहा गया है तथा यहाँ लवणासुर की राजधानी बताई गई है इस नगरी को इस प्रसंग में मधुदैत्य द्वारा बसाई, बताया गया है। लवणासुर, जिसको शत्रुघ्न ने युद्ध में हराकर मारा था इसी मधुदानव का पुत्र था इससे मधुपुरी या मथुरा का रामायण-काल में बसाया जाना सूचित होता है। रामायण में इस नगरी की समृद्धि का वर्णन है।इस नगरी को लवणासुर ने भी सजाया संवारा था। दानव, दैत्य, राक्षस आद
